Other required materials
Per CCC procedure 303-02: To ensure consistency across sections of each course at CCC, the selection of instructional materials will be coordinated by Lead Faculty. All sections of a course taught by CCC instructors will use the same required instructional materials unless otherwise authorized by the relevant Lead Faculty. Additional recommended or suggested materials may be added by individual faculty in consultation with their Lead Faculty.
Course Policies
These are the minimum that must be included but faculty can include additional course policies.
One of the most important things to remember about academic integrity is that you can’t assume students know what counts as dishonest behavior. It's essential to clearly explain when and how they’re allowed to use outside materials. To support this, CCC faculty created an academic integrity quiz that you can import into your course to help students understand what academic honesty means at CCC.
Learn how to import the Academic Integrity Quiz into your course by following the step-by-step instructions . This guide will walk you through the process so you can easily add the quiz to your Canvas course and help students understand CCC’s expectations for academic honesty.
Attendance
Insert instructor's own
Best practices indicate that an attendance policy increases student success.
Students may not be penalized for missing class for a religious observance, jury duty, military duty, or other civic duty, representing the College in an official capacity, or participating in field trips for another class, if they have given the instructor reasonable notice.
Per CCC procedure 303-02, faculty are required to report to the college any students who do not attend the first week of class. They are reported as No Show (NS). Students reported as No Show (NS) will not automatically be dropped from the class, however, financial aid may be impacted and financial aid students may be dropped for non-payment.
